I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
